Our connecting rod restoration process begins with a comprehensive inspection and evaluation to detect any potential defects. The rods undergo thorough cleaning, followed by dye penetration testing or magnetic particle inspection to identify hairline cracks that may not be visible to the naked eye. Additionally, the rods are checked for bend and twist, as excessive levels can indicate that the rods were over-revved in the engine.
After the evaluation, we discuss our findings with the client to determine the appropriate corrective action. This may involve straightening the connecting rod and addressing the piston bushing or crank pin bearing shell by boring and grinding using the following precision machines:
- Zanrosso ELLE 1000:
(Working Capacity: Dia 30 – 325mm) - AZ S.P.A BR1000:
(Working Capacity: Dia 30 – 250mm)
We are committed to adding value to our clients by understanding their unique challenges and providing additional services. For example, we offer temporary storage racks to safely store connecting rods for future routine servicing.
Our goal is to ensure optimal performance and reliability of your engine components by restoring connecting rods to meet stringent industry standards.
