Boring is the process of hole enlargement using single-point cutting tool to repair corroded shaft holes, alignment correction between 2 or more link holes or achieve shaft/hole fit tolerance. Typical demands come from shipyards and offshore industries whereby the time and manpower needed for removal of machineries are intensive and time consuming like engine coupling holes, fit bolts, vessel stern tube, rudder stock, lifting pad eyes etc.
Portable machining are also very useful for conditions whereby setting of conventional machine is not possible. We are equipped with a wide range of boring machines like Climax BB5000 and BB6100 etc to cater for different length and bore size. Recently, we have also invested in-situ cnc boring capability with Sir Meccannica S.p.A from Italy to achieve unique profiles and grooves machining
