The SPURS line and net cutter is an advanced propeller protection system designed with a unique combination of rotary and stationary cutter blades. The system works by utilizing the propeller’s rotation and its inertial force to power the cutting action, preventing line and net entanglements.
How SPURS Works:
- When a line or net is caught by the propeller blade, it is wound towards the propeller hub.
- The rotating cutter blades pick up the line and carry it to the stationary blade.
- The resistance triggers the cam wedge action, forcing the stationary blade aft against the rotary blades.
- This mechanism ensures lines and nets are cut before entanglement occurs, protecting your vessel from damage.
