Our field servicing team has successfully completed the machining scope for refurbishments of two dredge pump casings onboard. The work scope consists of machining off corroded flange surfaces, build-up material via welding and reinstate back to GD&T stated in the engineering drawings.

As the pump casing’s seal flanges are orientated at upright position, this posed higher challenges for conducting circular surface milling as well as the O ring grooving process. To achieve the tight tolerance stated in the drawings, API 3D laser tracker was deployed for dimension monitoring and post machining inspections.
