We are very proud with our teams who have managed to complete the machining of 56 pieces of bogie support wheel spacers for Johan Castlberg FPSO on 26 Jan 2022, within the 10 days schedule at site. The bogie wheels were surveyed using the API Omnitrac laser tracker to determine the require setting for each spacer. Every spacer has different thickness requirement and unique parameters to setup in order to be machined down with a 2 dimensional slope surface. The challenge of the project lies on the setting of each spacer which the team came up with an innovative idea to leverage on Vibracon, an adjustable steel chock when designing the jig for swift and accurate setup.
